The American Red Cross of Santa Monica hosted their annual Red Tie Affair gala on March 28, 2009 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, honoring the humanitarian spirit of extraordinary individuals who have shown courage and unselfish character.

Premier pro surfers, Garrett McNamara and Warren Metcalfe, were proud to participate in this celebrity star-studded gala, donating private surf lessons and an autographed custom surf board to the live auction.

This year the event honored Executive Producer Jay McGraw along with the cast and crew of the hit TV show, “The Doctors”. Bobby Shriver presented the Rick Crocker award to Dr. Russ Kino for his outstanding contributions to the medical field.

The evening’s event was emceed by KTLA’s Christine Devine and included a gourmet dinner designed by celebrity chef Nick Stellino, a private VIP reception, live music, casino and an auction featuring exciting and unique items.
